Studio D is a 17' x 23' column-free studio.

The smallest of our studios, Studio D also has a padded wood floor (rather than the marley-laid sprung wood floors of the others).

Studio D is in a quiet location on our mezzanine level away from the traffic flow of the Dance Center.

It includes a sound playback system with CD and MP3 inputs. Ballet barres, a television, and a DVD player are available upon request. Without windows, Studio D is a perfect location for screenings and other events that do not need natural light. It is also one of studios approved for tap shoes. (The other is the Independence Community Foundation Studio)

Other building amenities include central heat and air conditioning, dressing rooms with showers and lockers, vending machines, two outdoor terraces, and two lounges.

MMDG's rental subsidy program provides rehearsal space to the dance community starting at $10/hour. This program is supported by generous grants from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, the New York State Council on the Arts, the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, and Balletmakers/Capezio. Contact us to learn more.
